Topic
: Discussion on learning tricks to the trade from cracking the code of secret organizations to uncovering public corruption.
Panelists:
Tom Robbins, an investigative writer for the NY Daily News for 12yrs until 2000. New York neighborhood writer for 30+ years. Robbins experience includes being the Editor of City Limits magazine, aimed at neighborhood activism. He worked as a staff writer for the New Yorker Observer and the Village Voice His recent achievement Served as the Spring 2007 Jack Newfield professor and taught an honorary course on urban investigative journalism at the Hunter College Integrated Media Arts
Eric Nalder , served an investigative team leader for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
Nalder holds 35 years of reporting experience and has received two Pulitzers in national and investigative reporting for series of articles on oil tankers. Nalder published one book, “Tankers Full of Trouble”, which won the Investigative Reporters and Editors book award in 1994.
